As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, my goal is to share information and make recommendations I think can help when it comes to gross motor development. Needless to say, when it comes to chatting about containers like swings, bouncers and baby carriers as I did last week, my focus is way more on body positioning and how they can affect motor development.
I recognize that there are other concerns you may have, like safety or durability, especially as it relates to a child’s unique needs. I ask that you keep my disclaimer in mind when taking my advice. Every child has is different, and I always recommend you seek out a professional individually before applying blanket advice to your little. For instance, be sure to refer to the AAP (American academy of Pediatrics) for sleep safety recommendations.
It’s my pleasure to try and educate to the best of my ability, but always remember that not everything I suggest is appropriate for each and every child.
with love,
