Dr. Marisa is a graduate of the Doctor of Physical Therapy at Springfield College. Her first love is dance fueling a passion for movement and for wellness through movement. Coming from a family of teachers, Dr. Marisa also has a passion for education and lifelong learning, whether it is teaching her patients, mentoring other physical therapists, developing resources for patient care, teaching dance classes, or participating in professional development.
As a new mom, Dr. Marisa started making discoveries about collaborative and multidisciplinary care for infants. She has a growing passion for supporting and caring for parents and babies through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the first year of baby’s life. Her vision is to build a practice of multidisciplinary collaborative care focused on supporting new parents and babies to help them thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Dr. Marisa has experience treating a variety of patients and is in the process of obtaining a Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy through the Academy of Pelvic Health. She is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
